Dear students and parents,
My name is Yoomee Lee, and as the Cofounder of MYCC, I welcome and thank you for reaching out to MYCC.
As a first-generation college student, I understand first-hand how difficult it is when students have limited opportunities to enter and complete higher education. Given my experiences navigating college alone, I have been long dedicated to providing students with the guidance they need to reach their academic goals.
As an educational researcher, I investigate ways to expand college access, focusing on strengthening the STEM pipeline. With strong research and counseling experience working globally with districts, schools, and students, I have a deep understanding of the educational landscape. All students experience barriers when it comes to preparing for college, no matter their backgrounds. However, the level of support and access to information a student has can make all the difference. Therefore, my goal is to provide students and families with the tools that can make the road to college less overwhelming and confusing.
We consider it a great privilege to have the opportunity to serve students around the world. Due to their trust, our commitment to providing students with the best possible resources is unwavering. We hope to see all students thrive and achieve their dreams, whatever they may be, so don't be afraid to reach out to us for support and guidance along the way. 먼저 MYCC를 찾아주심에 감사드립니다.
제가 과외와 컨설팅의 도움 없이 MIT와 여러 아이비리그 학부에 합격했던 경험과, MIT 어드미션에서 인터뷰어로 일한 경험을 기반으로 시작했던 유튜브 영상들이, 어느덧 회사로 발전하게 되었습니다. 빠르게 커가는 회사와 매해 늘어나는 학생들의 수와 요청에 한편으로는 책임감에 따른 부담감도 느껴질 때가 있지만, 더 탄탄하고 성숙한 시스템으로 한 학생의 미래 그리고 인재 양성에 조금이라도 도움이 될 수 있다는 생각에 원동력을 얻습니다.
세계에 많은 컨설팅 업체들이 존재하지만, 제가 이 회사를 통해 전달하고자 하는 도움과 가치는 제가 직접 경험하고 발굴한, 어떠한 고정관념이나 전통적인 시스템을 벗어난 저희만의 투명한 소통과 방식입니다. 저의 중요한 시기에 저의 인생과 고민들을 진정성 있게 들어줄 수 있는 멘토를 만났더라면 하는 아쉬움과 제가 걸어왔던 복잡했던 여정이, 어떤 한 아이에게 자율성과 독립성을 키워주는 지름길로 남길 바라는 마음입니다.
대학 입시 컨설팅 회사를 운영하고 있음에도 불구하고 말씀드리고 싶은 것은, 대학은 인생의 끝도 아니고 전부도 아닙니다. 원하는 대학에 합격하지 못 하더라도, 모든 학생들은 이 세상속에 가치있고 벅찬 사랑을 받아 마땅할 아이들입니다. 건강하게 입시 과정을 즐기고 본인의 인생을 계획해보며, 더 먼 세상의 창구를 보는 시간을 경험하길 바랍니다. 그런 건강한 과정이 함께해야 더 효율적이고 최상의 결과를 낼 수 있다고 생각하고, 그게 맞는 방식이라는 것을 수년에 걸쳐 직접 경험하고 보았습니다.
